Koryukan Dojo
The Koryukan was established for a dedicated study of Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu by Medhat Darwish in Montreal, Canada . He was inspired by Okabayashi Shogen Sensei and was greatly honored by Okabayashi Sensei's permission to establish the first study group of Daito ryu aiki jujutsu Hakuho Kai in Canada. Shortly after Okabayashi Shogen Sensei gave the Koryukan the great honor of being the first Hakuho Ryu branch dojo in Canada. Mr. Darwish was appointed to be his first representative in Canada.
Currently, Koryukan is an independant dojo with a goal to practice and preserve the traditional Daito ryu aiki budo techniques and Ono ha itto ryu kenjutsu as they were taught to us.
Koryukan offers instruction to individuals and groups in Daito ryu aiki jujutsu and Kenjutsu. Respect, loyalty, comradery, humanity, humility, bravery, devotion, commitment and proper spirit are strongly emphasized.
